Pittsburgh’s Day of Giving supports the region’s nonprofit organizations, helping them expand funding sources and broaden their bases of donor support.
Over the 24-hour period on Wednesday, October 3rd, all contributions through pittsburghgives.org greater than $25 will be matched in part by a pool of resources through The Pittsburgh Foundation.
With almost 700 nonprofits from Allegheny and Westmoreland counties registered to participate in this year’s event, The Pittsburgh Foundation aims to top the $6.4 million in total contributions received in 2011.
The Sprout Fund has benefited greatly from Pittsburghers’ generosity on each of the past Days of Giving.
“From honoring Pittsburgh’s rich history of innovation, to catalyzing community change, to ensuring quality education from its earliest stages, your support for Sprout will make sure Pittsburgh stays on track as an increasingly vibrant place to live, work, play and raise a family,” says Cathy Lewis Long, Founding Executive Director of The Sprout Fund.
Help us do more–please consider a gift to Sprout today!
