Super Spark Evaluation

Finding The Ideas That Measure Up

During the final ideation activity, Super Spark Evaluation, Moderators brought the groups back together to consider each of the ideas they developed and evaluate them against the Super Spark funding criteria. The goal of this activity was to choose the best idea of the bunch to present during the Conclusion and Report-out at the end of the event.

Super Spark Funding Criteria

Project ideas were measured by the following criteria

  • Audience: Does it engage a large audience of children ages birth to eight?
  • Innovative: Does it employ unique applications of technology and media tools?
  • Relevant: Does it relate to the everyday activities and experiences of young children?
  • Engaging: Does it promote active play and learning, shared experiences, and interactivity?
  • Collaborative: Does it build meaningful partnerships between parents, educators, and innovators?
  • Inspiring: Does it capture the imaginations of children, families, educators, advocates, and communities through creative thinking?
  • Transformative: Does it affect lasting change by changing the way we think about challenges and opportunities facing children?

After choosing their leading idea, each ideation group nominated one or two members to pitch their project on stage with an accompanying graphic capture image of the idea created by the Graphic Facilitators.
