The YouthALIVE after school program at the Children’s Museum is inspiring a new generation of DIY creators and innovators. Students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades at Pittsburgh Allegheny 6 – 8 A Traditional Academy have been working in the Museum’s new MakeShop on all sorts of hands-on creative projects.
These young Makers will have a section dedicated to their work and creations at the 2012 Maker Faire, so if you’re involved with kids, please keep it in mind. The Children’s Museum is also inviting schools, youth organizations, and after school programs to consider how they can use MakeShop to energize the creativity of their own children.
